Graphic Design: Promotional Flyers
These are some flyer designs that I have made using Adobe products for my fraternity. I made and advertised for our Philanthropy event, a few of our social events, and Mom’s Day. In each design, I covered all the essential information and presented it in an easily comprehensible way while maintaining a nice aesthetic.
Graphic Design: Merchandise
To prepare for recruitment or "rush", my fraternity wears merchandise with our Greek letters on it to promote our organization. I was in charge of designing our shirts for two of our recruitment seasons which can be seen above. The designs are my own although I do not take credit for the art or manufacturing as those responsibilities were outsourced. These designs gained a lot of popularity and attention around our college campus and resulted in a higher percentage of members joining the organization. My design for the long sleeve t-shirt shown on top became so well received that Barstool Purdue inherited their own version of it to avoid copyright infringement.
Social Media and Marketing
To raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), my fraternity held a concert known as "Rockn' Rootbeer." To increase attendance and sales, I planned multiple promotional events such as an all-day couch sit because they are bold, fun, and they grab people's attention. I then attended these events and either took pictures or made sure someone else took photos to post on social media. Nearly a thousand people saw our events or social media posts and attended the concert, which was a huge success. Furthermore, almost everyone at Purdue University had at least seen or heard about our advertisements.

My fraternity raised money for Natalie's Second Chance, which is a dog shelter for rescued pets. I would regularly post flyers like the ones shown above across social media. Additionally, I would attend the events and take pictures at the start or immediately beforehand. This brought a lot of people to donate that otherwise might not have attended. I made sure to appeal to people's love of dogs, doing the right thing by being charitable, and the delicious pizza that was freshly made at lunchtime. This was an extremely effective marketing strategy which has taught me a great many things about what drives and motivates people.
